YOUTH LEADERSHIP REAWAKENING: ENIKUOMENHIN ASSUMES NYP DIRECTOR GENERALSHIP, PROMISES INSTITUTIONAL TRANSFORMATION
Prince OluwaTosin Enikuomenhin has assumed office as the new Director General of Nigeria Youths in Politics, promising a renewed commitment to institutional development, administrative efficiency and stronger national youth engagement.
His inauguration and decoration ceremony took place on Tuesday, 3rd November 2026, at Prime Bridge Solutions, Central District, Abuja.
The event marked an important development in the organisation's leadership structure as it seeks to strengthen its administrative capacity and expand its contribution to Nigeria's democratic process.
President Blessing Oyefeso said the appointment was necessitated by the need to improve coordination across the organisation's various directorates and operational departments.
She explained that the selection process was competitive and internally driven, involving more than 22 directorates and a final shortlist of three qualified candidates.
Following the interview process, Enikuomenhin emerged as the successful candidate and was approved by the National Working Committee.
Speaking after his inauguration, the new Director General said he regarded the appointment as a serious responsibility requiring dedication, discipline and a strong commitment to institutional objectives.
He promised to work towards building a more organised, united and influential organisation, while strengthening cooperation between its leadership and operational structures.
He further called on young Nigerians to recognise their responsibility in shaping the country's political future.
According to him, the time has come for young people to translate their potential into effective political participation and responsible leadership.
The new Director General's promise of institutional transformation now places considerable emphasis on effective administration, internal cooperation and the practical implementation of NYP's founding objectives.
