INEC GETS ABUJA FEDERAL HIGH COURT JUDGEMENT CTC VALIDATING ABURE AS LABOUR PARTY AUTHENTIC NATIONAL CHAIRMAN AHEAD OF 2027 ELECTIONS

Court Fines INEC #5Million For Violating Electoral Act And Constitution of Nigeria Against LP and Julius Abure

AlHassan AbdulKareem Baba Reporting Live...

Julius Abure has secured a major victory as the Federal High Court in Abuja has declared him the National Chairman of the Labour Party, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This ruling validates the party's national convention held in Nnewi on March 27, 2024.

Justice Emeka Nwite ordered INEC to recognize Abure as the legitimate chairman, overriding the Commission's earlier stance.

This means Abure will receive all the honors due to the National Chairman of the party.

Additionally, INEC has been fined #5Million for violating the Constitution of Nigeria and the Electoral Act 2022, as amended.

This development is a significant blow to Peter Obi and Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, who have been opposing Abure's leadership.

With this court ruling, Abure's position as National Chairman is solidified, paving the way for a unified Labour Party ahead of the 2027 elections.

Key Takeaways:

- Validation of Abure's Leadership: The Federal High Court has recognized Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party.

- INEC Recognition: INEC is ordered to recognize Abure as the legitimate chairman.

- Fine on INEC: INEC has been fined #5Million for violating the Constitution and Electoral Act.

This ruling is a significant milestone for the Labour Party, and its implications will likely shape the party's trajectory in the upcoming elections.

All these and more are located din the CTC released by the Abuja Federal High Court yesterday the 14th October 2024.

The Party leadership have since sent a copy of the CTC to INEC for adherence of the law
