OFFICIALLY RESULTS — FIRST STAGE
In furtherance of its commitment to civic engagement, transparency, and democratic participation, BTV Television Network, in partnership with VMCII Worldwide Service (Partner since 2010), hereby releases the official results of the First Stage of the 2027 Nigeria Presidential Aspirants Public Opinion Polls.
This initiative provides Nigerians at home and in the diaspora with a structured, inclusive platform to express public opinion and contribute meaningfully to national political discourse ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
CURRENT STANDINGS (FIRST STAGE RESULTS)
1. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN — 385,199 Votes
2. CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI — 365,868 Votes
3. BOLA AHMED TINUBU — 323,599 Votes
4. PETER GREGORY OBI — 219,776 Votes
5. RABIU MUSA Kwankwaso — 198,608 Votes
6. SEYI MAKINDE — 187,884 Votes (Newly Admitted Aspirant)
7. ADEWOLE ADEBAYO — 184,221 Votes
8. OMOYELE SOWORE — 168,589 Votes
9. YUSUF DATTI BABA-AHMED — 106,570 Votes
10. EZENWO NYESOM WIKE — 102,436 Votes
11. ATIKU ABUBAKAR — 101,144 Votes
12. NASIR AHMED EL-RUFAI — 47,880 Votes
13. HAMZA AL-MUSTAPHA — 37,564 Votes
OFFICIAL UPDATE: ADMISSION OF A NEW ASPIRANT
Governor Seyi Makinde has been formally admitted as an official participant in the BTV Presidential Aspirants Public Opinion Polls, broadening the spectrum of leadership choices presented to Nigerians after receiving so much votes on his name even without being listed on the voting card.
SECOND ROUND OF VOTING
The Second Round of Voting will commence on January 2, 2026.
BTV Television Network and VMCII Worldwide Service jointly call on all Nigerians both within the country and across the diaspora to participate actively as the process advances toward identifying the top three aspirants ahead of the 2027 Presidential Elections.
METHODOLOGY STATEMENT
. The BTV Presidential Aspirants Public Opinion Polls were conducted using the following framework:
. Participation was voluntary and open to Nigerians aged 18 years and above
. Voting was conducted through secure digital platforms and monitored engagement channels
. Measures were implemented to reduce duplicate entries and ensure vote integrity
. Results reflect public opinion at the time of voting and are not predictive of final election outcomes
. Data collation and verification were jointly supervised by BTV Television Network and VMCII Worldwide Service, leveraging over a decade of collaborative experience in civic and public engagement initiatives since 2010
