NOTORIOUS INEC CHAIRMAN MAHMOOD YAKUBU WORKING TO HELP APC DESTABILIZE LABOUR PARTY AHEAD OF 2027 ...As Labour Party Slams INEC Over Omission of Candidates in Bye-Election The Labour Party has expressed outrage over the Independent National Electoral Commission's decision to exclude its candidates from the August 16, 2025, bye-elections. In a statement signed by Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, the party described the omission as "unlawful, surprising, and an abuse of power" by INEC. According to the Labour Party, INEC has no authority to prevent them from fielding candidates, provided they meet the requirements of the Electoral Act. The party cited the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Acts 2022 (as amended) in asserting its rights to sponsor candidates in elections. But in another face of discussion some party members are saying that the INEC chairman Prof Mahmood Yakubu must have been able to perform such a criminal act after getting paid from the camp of Alex Otti and Peter Obi to help make LP suffer this fate. If not that the INEC boss is gaining from the Abia State Governor why should he be delving into a party issues that doesn't concern him in any way The supreme Court judgement CTC is clear by saying that all leadership matters are in the total control of the party and not INEC or the court. The party have been asked by the court to go settle their issues using the constitution of the party so why is INEC now refusing to allow nominated candidates from the national chairman of LP to be on the commission's portal when it gave the same Abure the privilege to send the nominated names of candidates in Ondo, Edo and Anambra States governorship. INEC chairman is acting like a notorious political crime syndicate that is employed by the APC and the Otti camp to destabilize the labour party ahead of the 2027 general elections. As it is right now, the court remains the only opportunity for the Abure leadership to field candidates for the BYE-ELECTION holding in some weeks time. We are looking for anyone who can answer our questions as a Media outfit on this INEC and Abure LP leadership matters. What powers does INEC have apart of that of the electoral act and the constitution of Nigeria on who should determine the leadership of a political party ? Moreover, the law is very clear to who determines the leadership of a political party in Nigeria and that remains the political party itself. So who is the POLITICAL PARTY ? We answer by saying it's the PARTY LEADERSHIP ? On another hand who is the PARTY LEADERSHIP ? Our answer Remains that the party leadership is the STATUTORY. So finally our question is who are the STATUTORY ? The statutory of the party remains the national chairman and the national secretary in the persons of Barrister Julius Abure and Alhaji Umar Farok Ibrahim. And by law they both have the final authority to call for a NEC meeting that can take whatever decisions on behalf of the party and which they have done in sending notification to INEC for a national convention held in 2024 in Nnewe where the NEC in session voted the Abure led leadership as the new leadership of the labour party. So by the laws of our constitution and electoral act 2022 as amended, who is NLC, Nenade Usman, Peter Obi, Alex Otti, Darlington Okwocha and others that are parading themselves today as the interim leadership of the labour party when the NEC in session has already completed the traditional rituals of the LP constitution in electing a new leadership for the party ? While we shall talk more on this in another news bulletin but for now we must tell the world that those parading as the LP interim leadership are fake and have no legal capacity to act because in the first place the LP constitution doesn't recognize any team or group as stockholders in the party at any time. *Key Points of Contention* - *INEC's Alleged Overreach*: Labour Party accuses INEC of exceeding its authority by excluding their candidates. - *Supreme Court Judgment*: The party insists the judgment didn't grant INEC power to meddle in internal party affairs. - *Threat of Legal Action*: Labour Party vows to challenge INEC's actions if not redressed. The Labour Party warns that proceeding with the bye-elections without their participation would be a waste of resources and time, potentially leading to catastrophic consequences and a colossal loss of monetary resources. The party has called on Nigerians, particularly Labour Party members, to remain vigilant and pray for electoral process reforms.

NOTORIOUS INEC CHAIRMAN MAHMOOD YAKUBU WORKING TO HELP APC DESTABILIZE LABOUR PARTY AHEAD OF 2027

...As Labour Party Slams INEC Over Omission of Candidates in Bye-Election

The Labour Party has expressed outrage over the Independent National Electoral Commission's decision to exclude its candidates from the August 16, 2025, bye-elections.

In a statement signed by Obiora Ifoh, National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, the party described the omission as "unlawful, surprising, and an abuse of power" by INEC.

Chief Obiora Ifoh
National Publicity Secretary LP

According to the Labour Party, INEC has no authority to prevent them from fielding candidates, provided they meet the requirements of the Electoral Act.

The party cited the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Electoral Acts 2022 (as amended) in asserting its rights to sponsor candidates in elections.

Prof Mahmood Yakubu
INEC Chairman

But in another face of discussion some party members are saying that the INEC chairman Prof Mahmood Yakubu must have been able to perform such a criminal act after getting paid from the camp of Alex Otti and Peter Obi to help make LP suffer this fate.

If not that the INEC boss is gaining from the Abia State Governor why should he be delving into a party issues that doesn't concern him in any way

The supreme Court judgement CTC is clear by saying that all leadership matters are in the total control of the party and not INEC or the court.

Barrister Julius Abure
Authentic National Chairman LP

The party have been asked by the court to go settle their issues using the constitution of the party so why is INEC now refusing to allow nominated candidates from the national chairman of LP to be on the commission's portal when it gave the same Abure the privilege to send the nominated names of candidates in Ondo, Edo and Anambra States governorship.

INEC chairman is acting like a notorious political crime syndicate that is employed by the APC and the Otti camp to destabilize the labour party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Alhaji Umar Farok Ibrahim
Authentic National Secretary LP

Darlington Okwocha
Fake Secretary

Mr Peter Obi
Former Presidential Candidate LP 2023

HE ALEX OTTI
Executive Governor Abia State

Nenade Usman
Fake Paraded Chairman

So by the laws of our constitution and electoral act 2022 as amended, who is NLC, Nenade Usman, Peter Obi, Alex Otti, Darlington Okwocha and others that are parading themselves

today as the interim leadership of the labour party when the NEC in session has already completed the traditional rituals of the LP constitution in electing a new leadership for the party ?

While we shall talk more on this in another news bulletin but for now we must tell the world that those parading as the LP interim leadership are fake and have no legal capacity to act because in the first place the LP constitution doesn't recognize any team or group as stockholders in the party at any time.

Key Points of Contention

- INEC's Alleged Overreach: Labour Party accuses INEC of exceeding its authority by excluding their candidates.

- Supreme Court Judgment: The party insists the judgment didn't grant INEC power to meddle in internal party affairs.

- Threat of Legal Action: Labour Party vows to challenge INEC's actions if not redressed.
