The Executive Members of the Jukwoyi Landlords and Tenants Association
Where facts and figures are put together every Nigeria's first enemy is known as NEPA who now bear the name AEDC, meaning ABUJA ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION COMPANY.

They are so popular that even a one year old Nigerian child calls their name on a daily basis as if they have something to offer the people.

After the AEDC, the Nigerian police force is said to be the most notorious in attitude, where as their duty to protect the people is neglected at most times. But you would see them join hands with the enemy of the people to steal from them as the occasion flows.

AEDC and the police are always seen as two children from one father but with different mother's.

To dissect the Organisation of the AEDC and the police force will be a matter of another day, but for today, our story line runs in the wickedness and carelessness of the AEDC in a particular part of Abuja the federal capital territory of Nigeria.

On Thursday the 10th of July, the executive council of landlords and tenants association plus their residents in an area called Jukwoyi in Abuja located under the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC bashed out in their hundreds to register strong anger at the manner that the AEDC have been treating them so far with epileptic supplies of electricity over the years.

At the properly organised show of displeasure which took place at a government primary school with a complete adherence to the covid19 rules of social distancing, washing of hands and wearing of mask, the people showed so much anger to the fact that electricity supply have not been made to the area for a very long time and even if it comes it would either be a half current which blows up their electronic gadgets thereby leaving them to spent more money in electronics repairs with lack of light at the other hand.

When BTV TELEVISION NETWORK interviewed some of the residents living at the area all they could say was that they are not happy. How can we be paying bills and light wouldn't be supplied to us. Every month what we get is bills upon bills.
For those of us that don't have the prepaid Meter for proper billing, we are suffering so much, paying for electricity we have not used. And at the end of the month the AEDC will come and cut us off as if they supply us light and we have refused to make payment.
The Executives and Residents Press Briefing
The people also accused the AEDC of using politics in the supply of the light to the area. They said light is supposed to be supplied to them but it's given to other areas around the versinity. But no supplies would be made to us at a good time.
Most of the nights in this area we have to resort to generators to meet up with a live program and even the news as citizens of Nigeria.

We therefore use this opportunity to call on the fct minister to look into this matter and ask the AEDC to desist from this nonechalant setup put in place to sabotage the good work of the Buhari corruption free administration.

For us living in this area in the fct, the AEDC is a Dracula against the success of Mr president and should be investigated because Democracy allows the people to enjoy democratic dividends which electricity is part of, but if you look at it, every Nigerian hates AEDC because they have not been able to deliver quality service to the people even when the federal government provides a level playing field for them to do business in Nigeria.

The AEDC is not qualified enough to handle the provisions to provide a sound distributive power to Nigerians.
They don't have what it takes to do the job. All they want is to get payments from job not done.
We are suffering and calling on the fct minister, minister of power and president Buhari also to come to our aid.
If the people who should enjoy the electricity supply are complaining at every point in time it is clear that the federal government have to weak up and do the needful. If possible revoke the contract from them and give it to people who have the technology and management team to deliver the goose with the golden egg to the people.
Moreover whatsoever anybody thinks, Democracy is all about the people and when the people speak their voices should be accepted at all cost.
A Cross Section of the Executives and Residents
Government must address the issues of non electricity supply to Nigerians most especially with the ways the AEDC is, proposing on their acting like some gods whereby they put on and off the light  at will.

Nigerians are people who will always pay for good services rendered at all times. But in the case where the services are not rendered who will be happy to pay for services not provided.

AEDC is a power distributing company and not a power generating company and we understand that, but in the case where the power has been generated and passed to them but they at their own side distribute it with so much distort causing so much pain to the people.

At the special event while addressing journalists, the President of Jikwoyi Landlord Association, Emeka Ahuakagha demanded that appreciable power supply is made available within Fourteen (14) days or face the music that will play at the arena.

He also disclosed that they are also demanding for immediate construction and installation of new sub-stations within Jikwoyi and its environs, and prepaid meters are made available to consumers and an immediate halt to estimated bills.
“The replacement of all expired cables, wooden poles and broken concrete poles in the Jikwoyi Community. Immediate and unconditional removal of all the auto-reclosures.
“Installation of new transformers and balancing of loads carried by existing transformers.

And in the event(s) of whatsoever failure to meet our demands, the Jikwoyi Landlord Association and the Community shall have no option but to take necessary Legal Measures which may include claims for damages”, Ahuakagha said.

Like it or not the fact remains that the AEDC is not effective at all in the terms of distributing electricity in Nigeria.
