Read Full Statement below:
Our attention has been drawn to a fake news, with the caption, “INEC withdraws Ihedioha’s certificate of return, gives reason”, being circulated in the social media by the shamed enemies of the state.
For purposes of clarity, we wish to inform the public that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is yet to issue Certificates of Return to the Governors-elect across the states of the federation. Their certificates will be presented to them in the coming days.
We call on the good people of Imo State and the general public to disregard the purported report as it is another failed attempt by these disgraced agents of darkness to create confusion in the state and distract the Peoples Governor-elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha CON.
To the glory of God, Imo State has been liberated and therefore there is no amount of blackmail, desperation or evil machination that will return the Heartland State to Egypt.
Signed
Hon. Damian Opara
