Queen Sophia Saturday won the finest girl south-south nigeria in may 2016 at the 9th edition of the finest girl nigeria international beauty pageant event which held in abuja at the sheraton hotels and towers along side 38 contestants who represented the 36 states of nigeria and the fct respectively.
the event had four national beauty queens and queens representing the six geo political zones of nigeria which is the capacity where queen sophia saturday helds as queen.
queen sophia's official pet project will be taking off at the end of novermber 2016 with a massive rag rally in benin city to celebrate the help save the child concept.
the event will invite musicians, comedians, actors and other entertainment practitioners to participtate as special attraction guests to show solidarity to the lives of children across the 6 south south states.
queen sophia is billed to meet with the wife of the new elected governor of edo state to finish partnership agreement on the project which will provide a chance for the edo state first lady to participate in the project.
the organizers of the event, btv nigeria television network limited also praise queen sophia for taking great steps in moving the lives of children to the next level with the official pet project which is designed to fall in place with the national pet project of the number one queen of the finest girl nigeria international queen Joy Ogechi Nwachukwu.
queen sophia is the 9th finest girl south south nigeria since the finest girl international pageant hosted its first edition in abuja at the international conference center on may 29th 2008 with queen ochanya jessica ebute winning the first event crown.
the 2010 winner queen zuriel johnson who is now the ceo of the pageant organization haas disclosed that the 2017 edition is planned to hold in abuja with entries opened to all interested models across nigeria from the 1st of october 2016 and closes on the 31st of april 2017. and she clearly stated thta the 2017 edition runs with the basis of the best model enters for the contest by representing their state of origin which makes it more responsive as a true national event.
to close the queen Sophia Saturday birthday party with motherless children, she openly said she was very grateful to GOD almighty for adding one more year to her life and she promised to provide more love for children as her side attraction to the original project which takes effect from November in a grand style.
