YAHAYA BELLO, THE ONLY
LEGITIMATE RESOLUTION TO APC’S VICTORY IN KOGI POLLS
As politicking thickens in kogo state
the only legitimate individual who the news is legally created around is ALHAJI
YAHAYA BELLO.
The reasons are very clear and on the
need to create a responsible and quality leadership value in Nigeria the APC
can not do the wrong thing of fielding a wrong candidate to replace late prince
Audu in the concluding polls slated for the 5th of December amidst
the eyes of the world.
In the following conditions stated or
interpreted by the constitution Yahaya Bello stands as the only candidate to be
fielded to represent the party as the flag bearer come 5th December
2015.
1.
That late prince Audu stood in
primary elections against others in the party and there was a result respected
and duly accepted by the party.
2.
That Yahaya Bello also stood in that
same election that brought prince Audu as the overall winner of that said
election.
3.
That Yahaya Bello was the second in
position in the results announced by the APC in kogi state before the general
election. Against other political parties respectively.
4.
That INEC announced for a supplementary
elections after an inconclusive condition was valued at the polls before the
late flag bearer of the APC dead. And that the supplementary election shall
hold on the 5th of December 2015 which is following the regulations
of our electoral process which provides that INEC shall give a due date for a
conclusive part of the supplementary election date within 14 days (2weeks) from
the date of the inconclusive election held.
5.
And that the new date of the election
which is on the 5th of December 2015 is basically a contravention of
the original date given by INEC to present a new person to replace the dead
candidate of the APC in person of prince Audu, and because of this timing, the
APC MUST revert to the authentic primary elections results which was held in
lokoja that brought prince Audu as its winner and flag bearer and pick the
second winner in person of ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO.
6.
And that the APC is left with no
choice then to present the duly constituted and legitimate candidate in the
person of ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO as the official replacement for the APC without
any waste of time so consolidations of the gains of his candidacy can be
enjoyed by the APC supporters in the supplementary polls holding on the 5th
of December respectively.
7.
That INEC has given the 5th of December 2015
as the date for the supplementary elections which connotes that part of our constitution which states that all political
parties MUST hold a primary elections to present a candidate that shall stand
as a party flag bearer for the general elections within a stipulated period of
30 days (thirty days) to the date stipulated for an election which is the 5th
of December 2015.
8.
That Yahaya bello is the only
legitimate candidate to replace prince Audu or the party will provide a loophole
in the electoral process where the PDP’s candidate will exercise the powers of
remaining in office as the legitimate winner of the 2015 kogi state governorship
elections respectively making it a factor after the election results must have
been announced and a winner declared by INEC. It is very certain that because
by law it will be said that the APC didn’t field in play the legitimate
candidate for the election so all the mandate given to the party in the polls
as votes are invalid votes which shouldn’t count at all cost. This is a simple logic and that the APC MUST understand
and this is a factor which brings out the greedy interest of the Igala tribalized
nature that has put back the state over the years. We pray that this MUST be
stopped by all and sundry. The mantle of leadership must be given to the honest
and credible legitimate candidate so the rule of law in Nigeria can be
respected in all its ramifications. This is factor that must be stopped for the
betterment of our democracy.
Yahaya Bello stood in for the primary
election and came second (2nd) in the rolls of the results and the national
working committee of the APC MUST take this into consideration and use this as
an opportunity to present Yahaya Bello as the beneficed APC governorship candidate without any delay
or favor or provide the PDP the privilege to remain in power as the winners of
the said elections whereby the APC did not field into play a legitimate
candidate to finish from where prince Audu stopped as the party’s flag bearer
respectively.
This is condition that provides a
clear case of victory for the APC and I can not understand why the legitimate
candidate shouldn’t be announced as the flag bearer so that the air can be
cleared for the said candidate to open up for a responsive consultation with
party supporters who are on ground to supply the votes that the party needs to
kill the remaining part of the elections in favor of the APC.
Prince Audu dead, yes we know, may
his soul rest in perfect peace. The fact still remains that history must take
its course for the people to enjoy the basic values of a nation irrespective of
what had happened along the lines of the struggle for change to come in the
areas of our national political history and stability
That on died doesn’t mean the truth
or the rule of law shouldn’t be respected by a political party in Nigeria which
is registered and regulated by the law under INEC.
Yahaya Bello remains the only
legitimate resolution to the victory of the APC in kogi state election and the
mandate he got in the primary elections as the second position winner held in
lokoja where prince Audu came out tops should be the only reason why he MUST be
given the rights as the next man standing in the kogi state governorship supplementary
elections for the 5th of December 2015 with due considerations.
APC should not disrespect the powers
provided by the law to push out a legitimate candidate for the personal
interest of any disgruntled selfish group of persons who are pushing for a new
primary election and for a new candidate apart from the legitimate candidate in
the person of ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO who duly won the powers of our constitutional
perspective to represent the party.
It is high time we all stand up to
defend our political stability by showing some respect for the law and constituted
authority of purpose.
The president Mohammadu Buhari’s
administration should not joke with this huge mistake of not fielding the
legitimate candidate for the election under the APC because it will go along
way to buttress the image of the government in power and if allowed it will be
a massive mistake that will continue as greater mistake in years to come.
For me this is the only chance we
have to start correcting the abnormalities of draglines in nature in our
constitution that needs serious and urgent amendments for future matters
arising in same case.
That is if not taken into positive
considerations it will tarnish the image of the campaign for change and the fight
against corruption in Nigeria lead by President Buhari himself.
It is a huge pity that our legal
practitioners can’t look the way of the truth in this matter.
We are building a nation that we
should all must support in every way we can but its pity and shame that we are
not ready to make amends in the areas of how the rule of law should run the affairs
of governance in Nigeria.
The lawyers are particularly speaking
mostly on the values of their own understanding and personal pockets instead of
projecting the reasons for a more responsive democratic Nigeria where laws are
respected as matters unfolds in our daily life as a nation on the move.
And for men like Festus Keyamu and
others with due respect to their personalities to open up in the public and be
saying that a deputy who didn’t stand a primary election should replace the
late prince Audu in an inconclusive election. This is a serious mischief and a calculated
character to overheat the polity as a someone highly respected by Nigerian youths
who are following his track records as a lawyer who has a great respect for the
law profession in Nigeria.
This is what we call a constitutional
shame in the terms of legality and illegality because our lawyers should be
able to interpret the law in matters arising without fear or favor, when it
comes to a case for client it should be treated s such but when it’s a case of
our national interest sort as this kogi governorship election saga we should
try as much as possible to advise on the right thing so we wont pull our
political stability in the mud as a nascent democracy.
Our lawyers should not incite words
to words only because we have to opportunity to advertize our law potentials in
a case with a national value. We must stop heating the polity no matter what
anyone says or want to say it is certain that the APC MUST field in the
legitimate candidate in the person of ALHAJI YAHAYA BELLO.
